We will take a closer look at the 2010 Toyota Prius. Though it is already four years passed by, we can still recall the updates on the new car. Here are a few things that made the series distinguishable. The 2010 version of the Prius was unique and had a contrarian appeal. We like the fact that the car had some major tweaks. There were many significant upgrades, but the highlights are utter thrift, high-tech eco features, and many others.

Back then, the series was not only praised for all the positive upgrades, but it also received criticism due to the loud cabin, poor rear vision, and some other shortcomings. Well, the current series has changed so much since then. We can not expect a car to be perfect. There has to be some drawbacks and they are reasonable. The 2010 version was definitely fun to drive. The pricing for the series was a little above average, but it was expected for all the great features it had. The powertrain was improved significantly. It came with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. There was also a new engine management system. That one allowed the car to have various settings.

It was a 17-inch wheel-and-tire that the car rode on. There were some different modes that you can chose depending on the needs. The battery mode was great as it enabled a mile of electric propulsion. There was also the eco mode. It served to smooth out throttle inputs. Will all the changes, you might want to get it back even though the latest offering has much been improved. The drivertain was tweaked for the good, but even so, we do not think that it was really sufficient for the car to embark on a total transformation.

Styling wise, at that time, the Prius looked so handsome, but it retained the original style. It is important for a car to maintain its signature style even though it is reworked for the better. The rear end was becoming sort of beefy. Meanwhile, the rear spoiler also got cosmetic tweaks, exactly why the part got so nifty.

The top of the roof is slightly relocated. It got dragged rearward, so that the passengers on the front end got more space to move. The front seats also had nice contours, not to mention that the cargo space became roomier, too. The interior was not left untouched. If anything, that was a big step-up. All parts looked gorgeous, such as the center stack, door panels, dashboard, etc.
